The Chedi Luštica Bay has implemented FSC-certified wooden key cards to replace traditional plastic ones. Plastic key cards, typically made of PVC, take centuries to decompose in landfills, release microplastics and toxic chemicals, and are largely non-recyclable. FSC-certified wooden cards, sourced from responsibly managed forests, offer a far less harmful alternative. But that's not where it ends.
The cards are also integrated into a smart room system that automatically cuts power when rooms are vacant, reducing the property's overall electricity usage.

Taking care of the people who take care of guests, Adriatic Luxury Hotels maintains a 93% permanent staff retention rate with 38% of seasonal workers returning year after year. The company goes beyond standard compensation, offering both team-based and individual performance rewards. In 2023 alone, they increased group-level rewards by 20% per employee.

Now in its sixth edition, Regent’s Annual Fundraising Ball continues to unite the community in support of a meaningful cause.
In December 2025, an impressive €50,745 was raised to support individuals with autism across Montenegro.
All proceeds went towards enhancing the Resource Centre “1. Jun” Podgorica, dedicated to care, education, and guidance.
Since its inception in 2018, the ball stands as a powerful tradition of compassion, connection, and lasting impact.

Several member properties, including The Chedi Luštica Bay, Regent Porto Montenegro, and Adriatic Luxury Hotels, actively invest in the next generation through scholarships, internships, and apprenticeship programmes, creating pathways into the hospitality industry for young people in their communities.
GEA Retreat collects and stores rainwater as its primary water source, using a
system of underground cisterns (locally, catrnja or bistijerna) and above-ground
tanks across the property. This system is currently being expanded through the
development of a new 300 m³ water accumulation pond, supported by the
Cross Re-Tour project, further strengthening water resilience and self-sufficiency.
More initiatives and best practices from our member properties are coming soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the sustainability pages of each hotel.
